      SV Judge and Koermeister, Bernd Weber, resides in the picturesque city of Bad Schwartau, about 37 miles north of Hamburg, Germany. He lives there with his wife and two children. Mr. Weber works for the Criminal Investigation Division (Federal Criminal Police Office), focusing on internet crime. He is a recipient of the Golden Award for Police Dog Handlers. Mr. Weber joined the SV (Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde e.V.) in 1978 and became a conformation judge and koermeister in 2004. He very successfully breeds and shows German Shepherd Dogs under his kennel name “vom Augrund”. Since 2001 Mr. Weber is the breed warden for the region Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein and an active member of the SV Breed Advisory Committee. Mr. Weber has judged many shows within Germany as well as many foreign countries, including the 2011 USCA Sieger Show as well as the prestigious German Sieger Show. It is not just as a SV judge and breeder that Mr. Weber has left his mark; he is also known as one of Germany’s best handlers in the show ring. In 1995 he was selected as the helper for the courage test for the working class males at the German Sieger Show.  For five years he held the position of SV teaching helper for the LG (Region) Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein, and to this day he performs helperwork at his club.
